Dave suggested creating a blog to track progress on our inquiry project. I decided to give it a go. As Kate Kennedy says, "I just wrote this!" So...I will try to post each week with an update of how it's going. I still have to post my most recent digital lesson. You'll see the first week didn't go as planned and was a bit frustrating. I have better news for week 2!

Go Kim!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to keep up journal-like activities! Nice work. I loved your incentive for following directions. If only I could get MY kiddos to be motivated by a sticker!
Besides problems with the technology itself, are you running into any roadblocks because of age/developmental issues trying to use technology as opposed to pen and paper?
No, Bailey. No other issues. The kids enjoyed composing on the computer and were truly interested in learning how to make the letters uppercase. The ones that don't do it in their writing, didn't ask! One thing they do that drives me nuts is put 10 or more spaces after words! That was one of my quick teaching points today-one space after a word and two after a period! I will need to reinforce that all year!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea and am considering it to stay committed to journal writing plus the added bonus of keeping track of all those ideas, reflections, progress, and challenges during this year long work.
